What’s special about this farmers' market?
OPEN RAIN OR SHINE
Our dog park is probably the most instagramed part of the farmers' market! We’re right on the heath; come in before or after jogging or walking the dog. Regulars make a bee line for their favourite stalls including Five Ways Fruit Farm for asparagus and soft fruit, Levain Bakery and Astons for brilliant sour dough bread, The Potato Shop for their range of spuds, and Brambletye for biodynamic eggs, juice, fruit and veg. There's free range poultry from Fosse, organic meat from Galileo Farm, Wild Country Organics range of salad leaves, hot food from Mumbai Mix, Pasta E Basta and much more.
'Parliament Hill has a strong emphasis on high quality basics rather than the elaborate, often sugary offerings of other markets, which makes them a favourite of mine.'
In season; Jerusalem Artichokes in January, Purple sprouting broccoli in February, Wild garlic in March, rhubarb in April, asparagus and strawberries in May, peas in June, cherries in July, apples and plums from August, corn in September, game in October, root veg in November, turkeys in December!
