Its Time To Eat Al Fresco.

It is going to be hot in August and what better place to be but with friends at home, eating outside or relaxing around the barbeque. If not at home then at a picnic in the park. You will find all you need at market from sizzling sausages, burgers & steaks to sweetcorn & aubergine for the barbeque. And for picnics you will find scotch eggs, cured ham, cheeses, pickles and all sorts of goodies like strawberries and cream.

World Farmers Market Week.

This month we celebrate World Farmers Market Week. London Farmers Markets is a member of the World Farmers Markets Coalition. The WorldFMC's aim is to cultivate a community of practice for farmers markets to benefit farmers, consumers, and communities. As a group we share best practice and support the formation of farmers markets around the world in order to support farmers and to offer real, nutritious food to local populations.

A look at our Notting Hill market.

Tempus fugit. It is two years since our Notting Hill market moved to its new location at the Fox Primary School and it has gone by in the blink of an eye. Cheryl Cohen was still working with us then but now she is following her passion for markets and writing about them rather than spending her time running them. In season in August

Apples, aubergine, artichokes, beetroot, blackcurrants, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, carrots, chard, cherries, courgettes, courgette flowers, fennel, kale, land cress, lettuce, leeks, loganberries, pak choi, new potatoes, peas, peppers, plums, purple sprouting broccoli, raspberries, red, spring & white cabbage, watercress, radishes, spinach, spring onions, strawberries, tomatoes, wet garlic..... and roses.

August Hamper Competition

As predicted last month the sun has come out so this month's hamper competition has a BBQ them. Your box will contain lovely items for cooking outdoors.
