Sara is a self-taught chef who moved from Italy to London in 2011. After working for several restaurants and bakeries, she started her own food business out of a passion for made-from-scratch slow plant based food with high quality, organic, seasonal and local ingredients: Pomodoro E Basilico was born.
Sara describes her food as “Italian with a twist”: at her Pomo Deli stalls you will find dishes from her Italian tradition like Pesto Basilico, Caponata or Salsa Emiliana jars and pillowy trays of Focaccia and Farinata, but also her innovative creations like her Pesto & Kimchi Rolls, Wild Nettle or Wild Garlic Pesto, Spelt Olive oil Cookies, Pumpkin or Cherry Pie and her award winning Pomo Bars.
Since moving to Sussex she has also been focusing on her passion for foraging wild foods to create very exclusive and seasonal products like Porcini Sauce or Pickled Porcini or the above mentioned pesto jars.
